Custom uniforms and apparel developed for Team Egypt Hockey in 2017, blending national identity with modern hockey aesthetics across multiple home, away, and alternate uniform styles.
The project was built around a balance of traditional Egyptian symbolism and contemporary hockey design. Elements pulled from Egyptian history and iconography were integrated throughout the collection, including stylized pharaoh imagery, national emblems, and bold geometric compositions designed to create a recognizable visual identity both on and off the ice.
Each uniform was approached as part of a larger system rather than a single standalone design. While every jersey carries its own distinct look, the overall collection was designed to remain visually connected through consistent typography, striping structures, color relationships, and crest applications.
The home, away, and alternate concepts each explore different directions while staying rooted in the same identity. Some designs lean heavily into traditional national colors and symbols, while others take a more modern or aggressive approach inspired by contemporary international hockey aesthetics.
Special attention was given to how the graphics would translate into real production environments, particularly across sublimated materials, embroidery applications, and on ice visibility. Contrast, line weight, and logo structure were all developed with durability and readability in mind.
Beyond the uniforms themselves, the project was intended to help establish a broader visual presence for Team Egypt Hockey through cohesive apparel and branding elements that could extend across merchandise, promotional graphics, and future team development.
This project is a strong example of combining cultural identity with performance focused sports design, creating a system that feels distinctive, scalable, and built for real world use.
